FormscanBy Michael Graham - TOWNSHEND ought to be up to this task. After he won a beginners' chase in Naas by 19 lengths, jockey Patrick Mullins said he is a fantastic jumper and has a lot of scope and would be a right little summer chaser. He was then stepped up in class for the Grade One Ryanair Novice Steeplechase over course and distance but fell at the seventh. He was only 8/1 for that contest. It is to be hoped that that was a blip on his record in light of Mullins' comments about his jumping. He has winning form on good ground at Perth from his hurdling days and is lightly raced so should be fresh for this. Potter's Point's wind isn't great but he was far from disgraced when fifth in a Grade B handicap chase here. He should appreciate this better ground and can go well. Three Wise Men was never a factor in a Grade A novice handicap chase at this track but has enough form in the book behind the likes of Min and Road To Respect to be a serious player in this company. Bobbie's Diamond is coming off a long absence but a market move would be interesting as he has ability.
