The Ballydoyle colt has kept good company this term and his best run came when he finished a fine fourth in the Irish 2,000 Guineas on his penultimate outing. With a rating of 109 he sets a good standard here and should prove hard to beat. Theobald was behind the selection when seventh in the Guineas at the Curragh and looks to have a bit to find. Kerineya looked a smart sort when winning on her debut here last month. This is a significant step up now, however, against a couple of colts proven at group level and she would need to improve a fair bit. Ger Lyons is enjoying a terrific start with the Khalid Abdullah horses and has won this race for the past three years. First Response, a son of Pretty Polly winner Promising Lead, would need to be very smart to take this on debut, however, despite getting weight from the winners.%0A
