FormscanBy Michael Graham - Aidan O'Brien introduces three newcomers, all by Fastnet Rock and all with tonguestraps fitted. He has won this race twice in the last three years with Giant Redwood (on debut) and Sardinia on his second run. Therefore, their lack of experience and the stiff test posed by two miles on this track shouldn't be a problem for the trio. The bookmakers have priced up Santa Anita as the shortest of the three O'Brien runners and, with Seamie Heffernan on board, it is hard to argue with that. Vigil has been chalked up at 5/4. When last seen he was sixth in the Grade One Neptune at the Cheltenham Festival in March and he has won off a break before. In a tricky race though, an each way bet on 14/1 shot SHE'S A STAR might draw a dividend. She won her bumper in Down Royal on heavy ground that her trainer, Noel Meade, was worried would catch her out. Sanibel Island was beaten five lengths into second and duly came out and won his bumper in Ballinrobe. She's A Star was also a comfortable winner of a mares' maiden hurdle in Listowel last month. She should be staying on at the end of two miles here.
