The winner, Boreen Boy (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Huntingdon on 24th of March 2022, where the gelding finished fifth of nine, beaten by 38 lengths.
Olly Murphy could offer no explanation other than the gelding may have benefitted from the application of a first- time hood.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Chestnut Pete (GB), placed third, had lost a left-hind shoe.
