A surprise here with KEATS DREAM defeating some better fancied rivals. The winner ran reasonably well on his debut last month at Thurles and progressed well since then. According to winning trainer John Joe Walsh the winner will go for the valuable Bewley's Bumper at the Punchestown Festival next month.

Newcomer ACTION PACKED was very easy to back but will go into the notebook following a good runner-up effort here. The gelding crept into contention and although never looking like beating the winner, did finish to good affect. He can win a similar event before paying his way over jumps.

TRIPOLOVITCH pulled his way to the front before halfway and was eventually headed under two furlongs out but stayed on for third. He can win an average bumper but should also do well over hurdles.

LETTEROFAPPROVAL was backed at big prices and ran a sound race while the big disappointment in the race was Willie Mullins' FIXED FEE, who was a costly loser for punters. The gelding raced prominently before being shuffled back a little at halfway, by a weakening SARAMAN, but the incident mattered little to the outcome of the race.

Newcomer PASSION'S QUEST ran badly and was reported to have burst a blood vessel.
