Not a maiden of the highest quality by any stretch of the imagination in which Oliver Finnegan's Naiysan showed a vast improvement on four previous bumper runs to oblige here at odds of 135/1 on the Tote and 50/1 with the books.

Naiysan came from a long way back to land the spoils here and deny the strong finish off Sutherland Belle.

The first four home came from prominent National Hunt yards with Charlie Swan's Sutherland Belle taking the silver medal and probably running up to her form in doing so. There should be a race in this one on the basis of this run and her last effort at Limerick and the mile and a half trip on this type of good ground surface may have proven a bit too far.

Eyeffess currently holds a rating of 102 over hurdles and may be capable of landing a maiden of some description in the near future, while the other of note here was the prominent The Frog Prince who failed to stay on to get into the money but should be scoring over hurdles before long.
