Lord Erskine He's a decent horse on his day but he's had problems and it's just taken a long time to get him back,. He was a bit keen today and the jumping seemed to wake him up a little bit. He handles that ground well and stays well. Hopefully things stay right with him, it's a long time since he won the Irish Cesarewitch here. He'll keep on going over the winter. It's nice for the owner Jerry Nolan who is a very patient man, it has paid off. There might be something for him over two-and-a-half or three miles at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Elite Trooper Grey he didn’t jump great, but he travelled fairly well. Turning in I had a good bit left and I just kinda wanted to be there in case he did make a mistake. In fairness to him, he stuck at it. I’d imagine he would progress. He has plenty of speed but would want to brush up on his hurdling. But those hurdles are very forgiving. They’re rubber, so when you hit one a belt they don’t really learn from it. He was getting away with it out there but hopefully his jumping will sharpen up and I’d say he’ll be okay going forward.

We'll Go Again Madeline (Tylicki) has just taken a little bit of time out and I’ve taken over the licence. We’ve built it up the last few years and have a lovely bunch of 15 horses to run in the next few weeks.

Revolutme She didn't handle the track in Sligo and we were very disappointed,. Ben (Coen) said she got a bit of a bump on the bend there as well. I told Danny that he was drawn one and to just go straight as I think she got intimidated the last day. We always thought she'd be capable of winning one of these nurseries. She will like softer ground so hopefully she can improve from here and pick up another one of those. She's tough, hardy, she's not too big but has a great heart. It was hugely disappointing at Sligo but she's made amends today.

Sirjack Thomas Gavin said he got hampered — he got a bang. He won nicely though,. He’s a funny horse. We thought he wanted good ground but it’s not looking like it. Last year he won on soft ground in Sligo. He was working very well. He worked with Saltonstall last week and it was a cracking piece of work. Saltonstall and Current Option worked with him. Saltonstall worked the worst of them but he (Sirjack Thomas) was upsides Current Option. He’s a nice horse. We’ll go hurdling with him at some stage later on in the year and he might go back and have another whack somewhere else with him on the Flat and see what happens. It’s great to get another winner down here this week. It’s great for the Dooleys, they are great supporters. It’s unfortunate they’re not here. At least I haven’t got a sore head this week though!

Mountain Fox We were trying for a while with him. He's a game little horse and weight was killing him all along,. I just gave him a run here to see if a mile-and-a-half would suit him. I was running him over a mile and they were going a bit quick for him. On his last run he was fourth over hurdles in Kilbeggan with 11-7 and it was a great run. He was only a reserve this morning and only for Carmel he wouldn't have been here. She rang around different trainers to see if they were running and it was only at the last minute he got in. It worked out perfect. He'll probably go back over hurdles now, he's a brilliant leaper.
