Sweetest Taboo She broke out really well and she stayed straight the whole way and I was always happy with her. I was just lucky that the lads behind me didn't catch me. I'm going into sixth year now so that will be my main focus - my leaving cert. I can claim 10lbs off 8st 11lbs. That's Cian's first ride. He was 16 in May and has been riding out for me since he was 13. His dad Mark is a partner in the Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital. He's going back to school in a few weeks. He's very tall and I said that I'd give him a few rides before he gets too big.

Snowstar she's rated 79 and that's a 50-80 race so I said I'd throw her into it because she'll be gone out of that now. The hope was to win and we'll probably head for a Listed race at the end of the month in Tipperary next. The whole thing with these sprinters is teaching them how to sprint and she's learning how to sprint. I thought Nathan gave her a lovely ride and did exactly what I asked him to do as well. The bit of cover helped her a lot. Today she still idled a bit when she hit the front but she put it to bed very quickly. She travels like a sprinter and is improving all the time.

Raramauri Nathan did what he was told, gave her a lovely ride and she was nicely balanced the whole way and did it well. She is a full sister to Downforce and she is a smashing little filly. You probably won't see her again for the year because she is a light-framed filly. She is very honest and I just want her to grow into herself. Today was the first day she had a bit of an ease in the ground and she is a different filly on it - maybe like Downforce. I bought her as a present for my wife (Amanda) from Maurice Burns - so happy days. Although she called me and told me 'why didn't you tell me to come down?!'
