Mamba Noire she’s very good looking and Tom Whitehead bought her as a yearling and he is a good judge. It has been so dry the past month, we didn’t get a chance to get her on the grass and even though there was money for her today, I was worried would she be street-wise enough. She showed talent in the race, has plenty natural pace and Shane (Foley) said she was green when she hit the front and took a blow at the furlong pole so you would expect improvement from her. She’ll go to Naas for a Listed race next - we had a filly, Newsletter, that was third in the Queen Mary (at Royal Ascot) in the past and I think this filly is better. It depends on how the next few weeks go but the Queen Mary is the target.

Elusive Beauty She is a real advertisement to ownership in Ireland. You can turn up at the races with her and she mightn't win but she usually gives it her best,. The ground doesn't seem to bother her too much and she is a lovely filly for us and David (owner David Kelly) to have. David has had great fun with her and she is very consistent. She has been knocking on the door of late and certainly no one could begrudge her of that win. She is just a pleasure to have around. She has been Group 3 placed before, and she will probably mix it between handicaps and trying to get more black-type. She looked like she would collect off her mark of 86 for a while and she duly did today. It's a lovely pot to win and we are delighted with that.

Romanised We liked him at home but they have to come and do it. He has been working right from the start but I suppose he has only been on the grass once. Shane (Foley) said he missed the break a little bit but he was happy to do that. He was able to follow some principals. He travels through a race like a good horse. He has the ability if we just keep his mind right. He could be a Coventry Stakes horse. He'll be entered in the Norfolk as well and I suppose maybe the Marble Hill. There was a lot of chat about a lot of horses in that race. I'd say it was a very good maiden. Put it this way it's not a surprise as we do like him. With the man that owns him, he's not going to be sold. It's nice to have a horse like him. He has a good pedigree and has a big future I hope. He has a nice relaxed way of doing things and he seems to stay as well.
