I thought he'd run better the last day but he disappointed in Killarney. He was working well at home before Killarney and before today. Philip said he was a bit lairy today but he kept him at it and kept him interested. He handles that good ground. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Old Laxey, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. The Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of Massinis Adventure, trained by Robert Tyner, placed, first, compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that the horse disappointed on his last start in Killarney, when he made a bad mistake and lost interest thereafter. He also added that his yard is now in great form, having went through a quiet spell at the end of the national hunt year. Evidence was also heard from Mr.Andrew Shaw, Turf Club National Hunt Handicapper, who stated that today's win represented improvement on recent form and confirmed that the horse has made jumping errors in the past. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
