Turning into the home straight, the winner, Desert Belle (GB), shifted marginally right-handed at the same time as John Galt (FR), placed third, hung left-handed, causing John Galt (FR) to become slightly unbalanced.

After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Desert Belle (GB).

On the bend turning out of the home straight, the green running Pure Moon (GB), placed second, ran wide around the bend despite its rider’s best efforts, carrying Joyful Lawyer (USA), placed fifth, off its intended line.

After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Pure Moon (GB).

An enquiry was held to consider interference in the final furlong, involving the winner, Desert Belle (GB), ridden by Luke Morris and John Galt (FR), placed third, ridden by Saffie Osborne.

Morris was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Osborne to take a check on the weakening John Galt (FR).

Following the race, Cam Hardie reported that The Lakes (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.

Edward Greatrex reported that Pure Moon (GB), placed second, hung right-handed.
