It was great for us to see him coming back but I suppose from a breeding point of view it was disappointing,. He’s really showed up today, we were on a fact finding mission today to see whether he was going to train on and sure he was brilliant. He’s only back six or eight weeks with us and you’d never think he was away at stud. He’s so cool and calm, we even said to David going out ‘just wake him up a little bit’ because he’s so relaxed. He finished out the race well, he galloped right to the line. They kind of caught him up a little bit a furlong out and then he kicked on again. He put plenty of daylight between them. Today was just to see how things would go. There is a race in Cork in three weeks time and he’ll be entered for the Nunthorpe. He’s in not in Ascot. We’ll see after a couple of days how he comes out of the race and then make a plan from there.

He was very impressive. We had him here 10 days ago doing a piece of work and Robson (Aguiar) got off him and said to me 'this is the best horse I've ever rode'. He was definitely correct in that one,. He's a serious horse. That's three runs and three wins here, he's the horse of a lifetime. I'd say it'll be the National Stakes now and I don't think he'll have any problem stepping up to seven furlongs. He would prefer an ease in the ground but he has won on good ground. The ground today would be a bit easier than the last day. He was very impressive in his maiden here on heavy ground but it's not an issue for him as he's won on quick ground as well. It's unbelievable and it's hard to explain it. Robson is a master at picking horses at the sales.

He’s a tough horse. We took a chance running him today quick after Ascot and he didn’t let us down. Robson (Aguair, assistant trainer) said he was on fire during the week and we had no other option only to go for it. He’s entered in the Phoenix Stakes and he could go to France, we are not sure yet. We’ll give him a bit of a break now. He’s a big backward horse and we are not going to rush him. He’s had two quick runs. We’ll definitely step him up in trip as that’s what won it for him today. We made plenty of use of him as we knew he would see it out. He likes a bit of dig in the ground and if anything it was a bit quick for him today.
