Curragh Sun, 9th Aug, 2026  Shakespeare He's a lovely big horse who does everything right. He's a little bit of a baby. That's why it took two runs for him to get to where he is. He's still not there. He has a lot of ability and is in the 'could be anything' category really. Size, power, quality, speed, stamina, he has everything.

Curragh Sat, 23rd May, 2026  Headmaster I’d love to take any credit, but I can’t. This is Sarah’s (Lynam, daughter) horse really, she bought him, and I’m only in charge of who mucks him out!. Sarah does all the work with him. She made a very good decision because a couple of weeks ago he worked poorly, he was going for this race, and she said ‘we’re not going to work him again’. With all my years of experience, I said ‘that’s a clueless thing to do', but anyway we’d run with it, so she knows what she’s doing. Fair play to her. A small trainer in England (William Haggas) had him! I like the pedigree, the mam won the (Prix de la) Foret three times. I’ll have to do what I’m told with him, but the programme writes itself.

Down Royal Mon, 4th May, 2026  Alfred Wincham Marie Sullivan from Godolphin met me last February, a year ago if I'm not mistaken, and said had I time to wait for horse. She said there was a lovely wee horse that just needs a bit of time. I threw him out to the field and brought him back in. He has done a couple of lovely pieces of work. Very, very green - it was his first time on grass for me. We knew he would like the ground. I'd say when he was bred, he wasn't supposed to be that (4,000gns). Aine gave him a superb ride, she is one of the best in the business. She let them go on and cut each other's throats, and she had the horse under her. He could be going to the sales. Either that or I will put him back on the Flat, he has plenty of speed and he is very well bred as well.

Sligo Sun, 3rd May, 2026  Lady Mairen I knew she had come on from her run the last day, and I felt she wasn't harshly treated on her two-year-old form. I felt that, with a clear run around, she'd go close and I'm delighted to win this race. I won before for Robert With Rosscarbery (in 2022). I had her in the Vintage Tipple (at Gowran on Tuesday) which might have seemed like tilting at windmills before today, but I do think she's capable of getting black type at anywhere between a mile and a-quarter and a mile-six. My horses seem to be coming to hand, which is great.
