Thu, 10th Sep, 2026  He's not a bad horse. He had a mishap in Bellewstown where he bled but, before that, he was fifth in a 23-runner handicap. We just gave him a good break and just brought him back with this race in mind. I've only had two runners up here and both of them have won. We'll try and go again next year!. I'd definitely be pushing for more of these low-grade claimers. I would second what Ger Lyons said a couple of weeks ago. The optional claimers, I don't know what the theory is and I've spoken to a few people, and no-one can explain it to me. We need races for these lower-grade horses. I'd say this horse will be claimed and, if he is, best of luck to them. I was actually going to claim a horse out of it and changed my mind late on. I wouldn't mind a five grand horse, it is not going to break the bank. Jack was very good on him and he has ridden this horse all along. He is a big part of the team and I’m delighted for him.
