Leopardstown Sun, 18th Oct, 2026  Highbury See See He got hemmed in in Listowel. He ran bad in the Curragh the last day but I think they came up on the heaviest of the ground. I put cheekpieces on him today. He was threatening to do that all year. It's grand to win one with him. I wasn't going to run him this morning, I said the ground was probably too dry. Then I said to the owner we might as well run as there's only two weeks left.

Thurles Thu, 8th Oct, 2026  Max Meridius he always promised a little bit but is down at the lower end of the ratings now, although promised to do something like that. We hadn’t been easy to work out but we probably should have ridden him more forwardly all along. It was my fault in Clonmel last week as I should have told Danny (Mullins, jockey and nephew) to kick on but the race went around him over the last two hurdles. Danny was then stuck and couldn’t produce until after the last. He is a better Flat horse than jumper at the moment but might get to grips with jumping. He has size, is a fine horse who was bought cheaply and will eventually jump a fence. He is not a winter soft-ground horse but could come back here over hurdles soon.

Bellewstown Thu, 1st Oct, 2026  Maxwell Smart He was just getting outpaced all year - even there, for a lot of it, he was outpaced. He's just an odd horse, he won't race up into the back of horses but, once he got him out wide, he picked up well. He's a quirky sort of a horse, but definitely the slow ground was a help. We'll go over hurdles with him; we will keep him on the go. He's had a couple of very good runs over hurdles as well, but I just wouldn't run him on too quick a ground over them. He'll tip away up to Christmas, Down Royal and those places. He's a fun horse - a grand, sound horse. The ground would be a big thing to him.

Curragh Sun, 27th Sep, 2026  Fianna She done it nicely. I was half afraid of the ground but I thought she was after coming on from the last day. Normally our horses run well up the Curragh. Oran gave her a fantastic ride. He done everything I told him to a tee.

Navan Thu, 27th Aug, 2026  Miss Australie This filly needs a drop of rain. She won in Roscommon, and I suppose she had slipped down a wee bit (in the weights).

Roscommon Tue, 18th Aug, 2026  Fianna we ran her at the end of April but I wasn’t 100 percent happy with her afterwards. She’d just lost her confidence so I gave her a break and then went at her again. I was hoping we’d get a little bit of rain and an ease in the ground, so the rain came just in time and it worked out well. I’m delighted to get a winner for the owners, as they are lovely people.

Gowran Park Wed, 12th Aug, 2026  She's Ideal She came out of a claimer for five grand a couple of weeks ago. We done a few bits and pieces with her, but she is what she is. She had top weight, but the form was sort of solid with the other filly winning today. We claimed her in Ballinrobe after she beat my other filly (Minaun View). It's not too often you give five grand for one and they win so quick,. She'll probably go into something similar. I thought she was stuffed at the bottom, but she stuck it out well. She has plenty of ability. This time of the year with them fillies, when they come into themselves you never know what they'll do.

Sligo Thu, 6th Aug, 2026  In The Minus Brian fancied him at Galway, but he got stopped everywhere and had no luck at all. He said this good ground is what he wants and he thought, even though he's by Belardo, that this trip would be no problem. He's out sunning himself in Spain at the moment. Shane said his jumping was hit and miss, but that they went too quick and it just played into his hands. He had a lovely run around and won well. Alain Cawley, representing

Ballinrobe Tue, 21st Jul, 2026  Max Meridius His form was always stepping up a bit, although we were disappointed with his last run over hurdles, . I thought there would be more pace on with what the lads were saying, but they were all bark and no bite. He was a fraction keen, but if he develops the right way, the better-grade races will have a stronger pace which will suit him. Down the back, the hurdles are on the outside and I brought him wide in order to attack them, that was the reason to go out there. There should be more in him on the Flat too, and I wouldn't mind riding him in one of those heavy-weight races around Tramore. If I tell Tom not to go there, he might go!

Cillian (McConnell) rode her in the Student Derby (Curragh, 2023) and led everywhere bar the line that day and cost us a lot of money - I'm only forgiving him now!. She loved that ground and the last day was probably too quick for her. I think anything with 'good' in it is probably too quick for her. I told Gary she stays well and that's why he sent her on, but he didn't realise he had sent her on that much. I’m delighted for the owner who has been very, very patient with her and me, and got his reward today, so hopefully she can go on. She has obviously hurdle form as well, so she might mix it through the summer.

Down Royal Fri, 19th Jun, 2026  Alex Belardo I thought he had a chance. He was a bit unlucky the last day in Wolverhampton and has been very consistent. He acts on softer ground and he likes it here. He was tough there today. He's actually getting more genuine as he gets older!. He's not a world-beater, but he's pretty consistent. I'd love a few more like him to be honest.
