Newcomer Sands Cove made a very impressive debut in the last race on the card at Roscommon this evening the Frenchpark Flat Race, for his trainer Charlie Swan with Nina Carberry in the saddle. Mon 05th Sep

he promised a lot when he won his bumper but hasn't run on good ground too much and I'd say he appreciated it today. Charlie fancied him well and I imagine he'll want to go for a winners' of one chase next.

He's a nice horse. He shows us a lot at home but he'd be better if we got him to switch off a bit. He hadn't a run for nine months and we were the whole time trying to settle him.
