Clonmel Thu, 8th Jan, 2026  Our Uncle Jack I walked the track beforehand and thought the inside was the best place to go, as it was deeper the more you went wide. He had been running on better ground at the end of last season, but the softer ground suits him better. He was always a very, very good work horse, but when he puts it together he is good, although he is only sport at this stage. He had a couple of very good runs, won at Tramore, and possibly with some luck he could have won a bumper. He had been a small bit inconsistent, but hopefully if we can keep him the way he is, he might pick up another one. He has age but is lightly raced and he'll stay going for another while.

Clonmel Thu, 8th Jan, 2026  Kilbrin Rocco His run at Limerick (runner-up last month) was lovely and solid and, if he came forward at all, he'd have won today's race which wasn't the best on paper. He is a lovely straightforward horse and jumps really well. His jumping was a big asset today and he'll stay chasing. Gaps always open up on heavy ground at Clonmel and Gary was very good on him. That is Gary's claim gone and he rode his first winner as a professional for me here some years ago.

Tramore Thu, 1st Jan, 2026  Roccabaker She is a good consistent mare and has maybe been a bit unlucky. There was no pace in Clonmel the last day and it was a little bit short for her. She's a good staying mare and she'll be better over fences. She is owned by a real good group of lads from west Tipperary and I'd say there will be a fair session tonight. The man that had her previously just finished up with her and Cian (Quirke) recommended her then to us. She is a nice honest mare, gets a trip well and doesn't like to be in front too long. That's why he was just hanging on and hanging on today. That's what happened with her at Punchestown, we tried to make the running with her and she just didn't like it. She'll keep going in handicaps. Hopefully the handicapper will give her a chance and I'm looking forward to going over fences with her.

Limerick Mon, 29th Dec, 2025  Onefortheditch I’m always giving out that in the ‘100s’ every time she ran she was getting beat by lower ones, but she’s very consistent,. She should be left off for the winter, but she was in such good form you couldn’t. When she ran here the last day, she went on the soft ground so I said we’d come back at Christmas over two-miles-three (furlongs). Darragh O’Keeffe did a great job on her, but I wanted 7lb. I said to Calum that usually she’d be sitting and finding one or two too good, so to go on and go a gallop. I was looking at halfway and I said maybe I gave him the wrong instructions, but she’s tough. Her mother won here, Backinthere, and she was my first winner. I’ve very lucky owners, the Sheehans, and they’ve been great to me. I only have two to run on the track, this one and God Help Us, and both of them have won this year. Usually she gets her break, so I don’t know. Hopefully, there is a chase in her during the summer, but she deserved that.

She had a nice run the last day and progressed again today. Today is out of the way which is great, she is a lovely mare and will probably be better over a fence next year.

Thurles Sat, 20th Dec, 2025  Rushmount That was impressive, as he had top weight around here in a tricky enough race,. I had him in the beginners' chase at Leopardstown over Christmas but it was after we got the handicap mark recently that I decided to come here. He also likes the nicer ground here. He had some good runs, had a nice run here the last day and that bit of experience stood to him. . We'll see where he goes next and being suited by spring ground, Cheltenham is a possibility.
