After race at Roscommon Mon, 12th May, 2025 (1st)  That’s the 100th winner for Shamrock Thoroughbreds. We are going seven or eight years now and I’m very grateful to so many people for all their support. I was keen to give him a break after the all-weather because he’s been busy and he won twice as well. I thought coming here he was on a stiff enough mark but he’s holding his form really well. He’s freshened up and the break has paid off well. The race worked out perfectly as he was quite keen early, but they went hard, and he was lucky enough to find the gaps and was good at the line. They have done a lovely job on the track and there is a lovely covering of grass. It’s nice, good ground. Stephen Thorne

After race at Dundalk Fri, 20th Dec, 2024 (1st)  we left tactics up to Jack (Kearney), he used his head and gave him a brilliant ride. It was probably one of the first nights that the horse has been dropped in. It was an upgrade in the performance considering we were a couple wide off the rail and had a significantly bad draw around here. If they go good and quick over the seven-furlong trip, you can get into it. It worked out perfect for him. Hopefully, that will give him a bit of confidence now and we will mix it between the claimers and the handicaps. He's a grand fun horse for the lads (Shamrock Thoroughbreds). We've had him nearly 12 months now and it took us a while to get things right with him because he is not a simple ride. We will rock on through the winter and find something suitable in January. I'm after using the young lad (Kearney) a couple of times and I'm quite impressed by him. He will be another kid that we will kind of support into the new year. He has kind of been mixing it on both codes, but the lads have highly recommended him and I'll be using him plenty throughout the winter months. Stephen Thorne

After race at Dundalk Wed, 13th Nov, 2024 (1st)  It has been a great day, brilliant day. Thrilled to get going and a day I will never forget. The horse was good and Donagh was very good on him. We were drawn quite wide here the last night and things didn't really go well for us. He's been slipping down the weights. Threatened to win one this year, just hasn't fallen right for him. Inside draw there today, kept it very simple on him. It was the perfect set up. He has plenty of talent this horse, so I'm hoping that this will get confidence back into him. Hopefully, he will represent us well through the winter months. There's a lot of special people out there who wished me well and it is a proud day in my life, a new chapter in my life ready to begin. Half my life working in the industry and a lot of work and effort has gone into today. We are building for the future. To be a Shamrock Thoroughbreds horse, obviously something that I have put a lot of time and effort into. That's very special. Hopefully, the ball will get rolling. Stephen Thorne
