That's a relief I suppose. He had thrown away a few races, he did that well enough even though he was a bit slow away. He might run in the Birdcatcher on Sunday, it's maybe not the way to go about it as he's 2lb out of the handicap (before his 6lb penalty is factored in) but he might as well finish off for the season. He'll go on any ground and maybe holding him up and coming late in a better type of a race might suit him better. He was going well everywhere there until he hit the front and then he started idling again. In a better race we might drop him in, try and come late and grab a bit of money. Andrew Slattery, trainer
