Vadsa Queen completed a treble on the night for trainer Willie Mullins when staying on strongly to take the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Flat Race at Tramore.

Second on her racecourse debut at last year's Punchestown festival, the daughter of Estidhkaar disappointed on her next start when sent off odds-on for a similar race at Ballinrobe.

Off the track since that effort over a year ago, the five-year-old looked to have benefited from that absence when breaking her maiden status under Charlie Mullins.

From over half-a-mile out, this race looked to primarily concern Royal Hollow and the eventual winner. However, once that pair got down to fight out the finish, Vadsa Queen quickly got the better of the argument galloping on strongly to the line.

Charlie Mullins said: "I rode her out the other morning. She gave me a lovely spin. She was in my hands the whole way and I didn't want to be in front. Once Adam (Ryan) went on, I said that's perfect, I have something to aim towards. Going down the dip I just gave her a clip and off she went. She loved the ground, but I'd say it wouldn't matter to her. She is a traveller and would stay travelling."
