98/1 Dundalk brace for Roche
"She done it well. She broke smart and I got a nice position, probably a bit handier than I'd liked to have been. I was travelling that well that I let her go early in the straight, and hopefully there is another day or two in her," said Leigh Roche after doubling his Dundalk score aboard Jessamine in division one of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Handicap. All Body And Soul for the win
All Body And Soul and Rocking The Blue were popular in the betting from earlier in the day for the Big Bad Bob Maiden at Dundalk and they ended up filling the first two positions. Fri 22nd Jan
he handles it up here very well and Pat was very good on him as the pace was stop-start. He probably wants a bit further, and has won here in the winter on fast ground and the times show the surface is riding a lot slower today. He's a five-year-old but is quite lightly raced, and he'll probably go down the hurdling route. He's a raw horse.
Tracey Collins
I'm delighted. He's still a big baby and hopefully there's a lot of improvement to come. He's raw. Pat gave him a lovely ride and I'm very happy. He probably will get further. He's only a shell of a horse. We'll see how he is but he might get a little break. Probably his future is over hurdles and that's probably where he is heading to.
Tracey Collins
I always thought he'd be a nice horse but he went astray and we let him out in a field. He's weak and raw. I'm very happy with him tonight but I didn't think he'd be a four-year-old when he won. He promised a lot as a two-year-old but he's a baby and will take more time. I'm very happy that the owner persevered with him, and Ronan gave him a super ride.
