He’s a nice horse. Chris said he was lonely in front and he would have been happier with something bringing him along a little bit further, . We gelded him over the winter which was a big help to him. He was raunchy enough as a two-year-old. We always liked him and hopefully he’ll keep coming on from this. He can’t go up too much for a short-head. It was a nice race to win. He seemed to get the mile quite well. Chris rode him a few times last year, so it’s nice to see him win on him. He’ll go for something similar. We’ll try and go for the good handicaps with plenty of money over seven furlongs or a mile.

His form was good. He was a cheeky colt, and gelding him was a big help,. He’d done plenty. Even though he’d never ran on soft, he has big feet and he’d worked quite well on it, so I was happy coming. I didn’t really think any further than trying to win with him and we’ll see what the handicapper does now.
