That’s the only way to ride him, and he broke well tonight. He’s tough and genuine and that’s six wins here now for him.
Dermot Anthony McLoughlin
we decided to ride him a bit different today and drop him in a bit so he wasn't getting hard races every time he came up here from the front. We thought we'd ride him a bit different, try and keep him a bit sweeter, and it worked out. Shane (Foley) knows him and said he'd maybe send him turning in today instead of grinding it out from the start.
Dermot Anthony McLoughlin
I just said to him to ride him handy and be positive,. I was concerned that he might not get two miles but if he was ever going to get it he was going to get it around here. He did it well. He said he jumped, travelled and picked up well. He seems to be happiest in front and he'll pick up a bit for you. That was good, I knew he'd like the ground anyway and he said he never missed a beat jumping on that ground. The handicapper can't be too hard on us after that. His owner (Sean Gallagher) isn't well. He has a lot of horses in training but he's not able to get around the way he used to.
Dermot Anthony McLoughlin
He went some gallop but that's all the horse does is keep galloping so there is no point in holding him up,. He said he's fair genuine and he enjoyed himself in front and kept galloping. He enjoys it in front when he gets his own way like that. It was a competitive little race but he did it well. He's after winning three races here now. He might jump a hurdle now, we'll see. I didn't want to run him too often here but he obviously enjoys it. Last year he wasn't just liking it here but I don't know why. We'll have to see what the handicapper does and then decide what we want to do. He's decent. Shane said he went a good gallop and kept picking up for him. He'll get further as well.
Dermot Anthony McLoughlin
he (Oisin Orr) said he did it easy. He enjoyed himself and when he hit the front he said it was all over. He just stays galloping. We might step up in trip, he’s straight forward and we have a few options and we'll see how we go. He'll probably jump a hurdle in time but we might not run him on real winter ground but we'll keep him going and then maybe when it dries out, in February or March time, he might pop a hurdle again.
Dermot Anthony McLoughlin
He said when he gave him a slap he curled up a bit but he said he has plenty of stamina and stays well, keeps galloping and that's really what he does. He was here last year, and was unlucky a few times, and we'll keep him going over the winter. We won't run him too often, as he runs well fresh, and we'll look for something in a few weeks time. Any day that man (Colin Keane) rings looking for the ride sure you have to keep him happy, he's riding well.
Dermot Anthony McLoughlin
