It was well deserved, he’s an honest horse and he tries every time,. He’s obviously not as good as he was in his younger days but still he’s a nice fun horse. He’s often in the money. Wayne said they went a good lick today. We said we’d ride him from the middle, we didn’t want to make the pace as sometimes he might do a bit too much in front. We said we’d switch him off a bit and it worked out grand. A strong pace over seven suited him perfectly. It’s a lovely place to get a winner, we’ve had a few winners up here. He ran well in a big handicap here a year-and-a-half ago. We’ll see what the handicapper does and we might come back here again.

Resolute in the finish. We were just waiting for him to land one. He's a very good horse, a very genuine horse. He was going to win one eventually, he always runs his race. He might be a little bit better on the turf with a tiny bit of a dig in the ground, but we're very happy to be able to pick up one with him. They are great owners and are delighted. We had a nice bit of fun with them throughout the year - he was second in Galway and ran a few nice races. A nice, consistent horse and a great, fun horse to have. We'll see whether we give him a break or whether we will run him once more up here, but we'll aim for the turf again with him.

Finally I got a colt to win. He was very good. He learned a lot in Naas where he was coming home. He was just like a baby at Naas, he jumped out and stopped rather than jumping out and going. Today he was just a different horse. He'll improve with racing. He's got some fancy entries and he'll probably go for the seven-and-a-half furlong Listed race at Tipperary. He loves that good ground. He got the mile easy. He got an easy lead in front and he had the experience so it stood to him.
