Jeremys Joy now ready for Galway bid
Hooded for the first time and on one of her initial encounters with a testing surface, Jeremys Joy, a daughter of the deceased sire Jeremy, not all that surprisingly excelled to run away with the Tote Super Pick 6 Guarantee Every Saturday Handicap at Ballinrobe. Mon 20th Jul
She’s a good mare and we freshened her up as she got a muscle injury on her last run over hurdles. She loved the ground being by Jeremy. I’m delighted for PJ (O’Brien) who has three in the yard with me. She won the next race on tonight’s card when it was run at Sligo last year but I felt the Connacht Oaks would cut up and be a better option. I’m a genius now!

She only moved in about a fortnight ago. She was badly hampered in Galway at the bottom of the hill and Gary (Carroll) stood up on her,. The ground is the big key to her and she's a grand mare. That's my first winner on the board. I have three or four in training, I have mainly point-to-pointers, and she is the only one for the Flat. I'm a Tyrone man but I moved to Donegal and I'm based in Castlefin.
Jason Cairns
I only have her about a month, and that's a bit of a surprise. She's highly strung at home and we've been trying to keep the revs down on her. Those Jeremy's love the ground, and she will jump a hurdle as well.
Emmet Michael Butterly
It's nice to have a winner and we've been waiting on that ground for her - she needs a cut,.
