We got him last year and Denis McGettigan wanted a couple of horses for friends of his and we had him in Dundalk last year, but I didn't think he was on the top of his game. He has had a break this year and has come back very well and had a good run at Limerick the last day (when third). There are a couple of options at Galway and while he hasn't run there, he'd suit Galway and looks like he'd come out of the dip well.

He deserved that the way he was running as he is running his heart out. Chris (Hayes) said to me the last day to try cheek-pieces to help him with him to carry him into the bridle a bit better. He is a hold up horse and is very consistent and we seem to have found to the key to him. We don't fuss him at home and we leave him to do his own thing. He is loving it and we're able to run him every few weeks and he might go to Galway now. It'd be nice to go to Galway with a horse for Derek (Leonard) as he is a good owner.

He seems to be improving with the runs and he's enjoying it now. He seems to have gotten the hang of it again,. He arrived nicely, after getting into a bit of bother, and he showed a bit of a turn of foot there so we're happy enough to keep him at the mile. Once he stays running like that we'll keep him on the go.

The lads (Terry Whyte and Patrick White) are getting great enjoyment from him. He's a big horse and has been slow in maturing. He had two runs last year and was a bit green in a handicap last time. Shane had to be very strong on him.
