Power leads home Lynam 1-2 in opener
Miss Power showed the benefit of her debut outing at Dundalk last month by leading home a 1-2 for trainer Eddie Lynam in the Kells Maiden at Navan. Wed 05th Oct
I think ground is the key to her; we got away with it at Dundalk and Navan the day she won they called it good but it was actually slow. I think the little ease is a big help to her; she was disappointing at Cork and in hindsight I'd say the ground was a bit quick for her. We haven't over-raced her as she is a bit of a baby and we'll run her again next month in something similar.
Edward Lynam
we'll keep in the handicaps - fillies' handicaps sprints. That's half the population ruled out! I think there's one in the north (around the) Ulster Derby. We'll stick to the handicapping route for the time being. The dam (Good To Follow) won a premier handicap for us in the Curragh and is a half sister to the dam of Slade (Power). It's all that family.
Edward Lynam
She's a homebred filly and is from one of the best families that we have been involved with. Her dam is a half-sister to the dam of Slade Power,.
