J.J. Slevin is setting the pace in the early stages of the Jockeys' Championship and completed consecutive daily doubles today, steering aptly named Must Be Dreaming to win Wexford's Calor Gas Handicap Hurdle (div II). Wed 25th May

Jockey Sorcha Woods rode a good race to be second on 40/1 shot Carried at Navan on Saturday and today she got off the mark, at Cork, helping the Keith Watson yard to a double in the penultimate event with Odd Venture (22/1). Wed 19th May
After race at Tramore Wed, 18th Sep, 2024 (1st) 
she has loads of ability but just decides when and when not to do it. I haven't spoken to Ger (Gubbins, owner) yet but after this, I think we will just run her in better company, with smaller fields from now on. Off her work at home you'd be saying she should be rated 120 something, but then she'd come racing and wouldn't want to know. When she won in Wexford we thought we have a good one and then she finished fourth in a Listed race at Galway, but it was only backwards and backwards she went.

After race at Wexford Wed, 25th May, 2022 (1st)
we picked her up cheaply. She had a good run in Cork on the Flat and when she came up for sale, I thought she might make a summer mare. She is by Canford Cliffs and I thought she would like a bit of nicer ground and her dam (Maontri) was good on the Flat. JJ said she has a real brain for hurdles so I don't think we will be going back on the level too fast. She won cannily enough and hopefully we can find another race like that. There is another one here in a fortnight's time but she is rated 89 so it depends what she gets from the handicapper.
