First and last race double for Martin
The complexion of Limerick’s closing beginners chase changed after one fence as highly-touted odds on favourite Teelin Star (4/6) got in too tight and unseated Barry Geraghty. Sun 14th Oct
I'm delighted and a super man (Barry Connell) owns him. He's a lovely big horse and we've always liked him. He ran a lovely race when he won (at Limerick) last year but he's needed all the time he's got since. Things just didn't go the right way for him after he won.
A J Martin
He disappointed in his bumper. He was plenty fit enough [today], but he's a real chaser. He's a great model of a horse. He has scope, size and strength. He's a cracking horse and that was ideal for his second run on the track.
