The tongue-tie seems to be working,. We had her in the Curragh and she worked well but that was it. We came here as we had to make a start and this race looked lovely for her. I said coming here that if I finished in the first three I'd be very happy as it was a good race. You could go somewhere to gallop but it was €18,000 for going and running. You couldn't even say that's she's better fresh as she ran twice in Galway and would have won the second day if she had got out. She ran a week later then and won. She's just improving with age. She didn't go in foal last year and we had it down to the final days but when we got her checked she wasn't in foal. We'll look for a similar race if I can come across one. We'll see can she up it and we want to get a bit of black-type if we can. She's nearly entitled to get a bit, to be placed or whatever. That was good because she gave a blow going to the line and still held on, there is improvement in her.

We were undecided where to go and said we might give her a shot at a black type race for breeding purposes but a winner here means more to the owner than anything.

The race worked out well but it wasn’t as soft as it was last year so she found it harder. We ran her in Galway and she flattened out. The second day she ran there we put a tongue tie on her and she got trapped and only for that she would have been a good second. So we came here with the same tactics, tongue tie and drop her in, and we got the result. She was a good two-year-old and won her maiden by six lengths but when she came back she was never as good. You would think it wouldn’t have taken me this long to cop on!. She’s in foal to Elzaam so whatever time we’re allowed she will run up to then. She’s not long in foal.

I was so confident going to Galway but when Leigh told me the story (of the race) I was happy enough. She proved today she was entitled to be there anyway. It was a nice pot and it was the reason I put her into the race and it worked out well. I have her well entered up and, while she is in a Listed race at the Curragh, it is also easy to change to another handicap. Without doubt she'll have no problem getting black-type one day.

She has always worked well and seems so quick on good ground that I never thought she would handle soft - keeps progressing with every run though. It's a great advantage in these auction races that she cost so little and I doubt she'll run again this year.
