Formscan By Gary Carson - FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU looks the pick at the weights. The Saddler Maker gelding has run some solid races recently in good races. He was third in the Thyestes at Gowran in late January and ran with credit again when filling the same spot in the National Trial at Punchestown last month. This is a nice opportunity for him now. He has to give weight to his rivals but should be good enough to do that. Gold Cup Bailly was well beaten over hurdles at Haydock last time but is a capable sort and only has 3lb to find on ratings. It’s a similar story at the weights with Jumping Jet but she needs to improve on her most recent runs.
