Sligo Wed, 23rd Aug, 2023  Sittingonthefence . They didn't go mad and the pace collapsed and I was left there, but in fairness to her she kept going well. She was clever at the last. Sonny always does a good job with anything he has, point-to-pointers or track horses, they always jump well. I know him a long time and it's great to ride a winner for him.

Tramore Thu, 17th Aug, 2023  Mr Social He ran well the last day. The last two furlongs up the hill in Downpatrick just caught him out. We stepped him back in trip here and it seemed to work. The start didn't go according to plan as we had planned to have him handy. He was back in front after little over a circuit, so it all went well in the end. He settles well in front, when he is in behind horses he can take a bit of a hold. We are delighted and it's nice to get a winner at your local track. John Paul Kelly is my brother-in-law and he is the managing director of StoreAll who sponsored the race, so it's nice to take a few bob off of him as well!. We might turn him out again quickly. There is an 80 to 95 at Killarney next week for trainers who haven't had 20 winners in the last season. We will see how he comes out of this but he might go there. We will do the right thing by him anyway.

Sligo Thu, 10th Aug, 2023  I Am Shadow The horses are in great form. We made no secret that it would be Galway time before our better horses started to come out and that's the way it worked out. This is a lovely mare from a great family with a very loyal and patient owner and I'm just delighted she's went and won a bumper. She had plenty of experience and she showed that today. There's a few more in her, I'd say, and we're looking forward to her. She'll go over hurdles at some stage and she'll probably have a go on the Flat as well.

Punchestown Sat, 10th Jun, 2023  Onlyamatteroftime I fancied him but heard a world of talk about Willie Mullins’ horse. I was amazed how easily he cruised into the race and he deserved to get it (in the stewards’ room), I think. I’d say he could be sold. The owner (daughter Sarah Ann) wants to sell, she wants money!. He’s a full-brother to (three-time winner) Forgetthesurprise

Wexford Wed, 31st May, 2023  Away To Milan I felt I was getting good at training horses to finish second! Coming down here tonight I thought this lad had a decent chance. He made two mistakes the last day and tonight looked like a lesser contest really. I'll probably give him a break now for a month as he is a big raw five-year-old. He won nicely and it's great to get a winner. I had a second in the last race and another one last night at Ballinrobe and you'd be wondering what you had done wrong. The horses are flying though, and that's my third winner of the season. The track have done an amazing job here. I was disappointed to hear some of my comrades not happy with over watering. I think you can't water enough and on a night when it's drying out you have to err on the side of caution. Everyone is putting in a lot of work at the moment to have it safe. All of ours have come home safe this season and I think that's wonderful, so long may it last.
