Formscan - Captain Brett was making good progress until a costly and heavy Newmarket defeat last summer. He is expected to have strengthened further, but SWINGING LONDON might be the safer option. Twice a winner over C&D, John Mackie's veteran has shown he retains plenty of enthusiasm with fourth placings on his last couple of starts. John Galt makes only his second appearance in handicap company and could do better for the step up in trip. Jamie Spencer is an interesting booking for Vaguely Royal.
