Permission was given for Lion's Dream (FR) to go early to post.
The Stewards noted that there was a delay to race 8 due to the Stalls Handlers having to attend to a tack malfunction in stall 5.
The winner, Thunderous Love (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kempton 30 October 2024, where the filly finished last of twelve, beaten by 33¾ lengths.
Jonathan Portman’s explanation that Thunderous Love (GB) had strengthened up from the break was noted.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Port Hedland (GB), placed third, ridden by Hector Crouch, Asadjumeirah (GB), placed second, ridden by Cam Hardie, Tough At The Top (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane and Araifjan (GB), unplaced, ridden by Andrea Pinna.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Pinna was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Crouch was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Tough At The Top (IRE), to be carried off its line and Kirrane to take a check, which in turn made contact with and unbalanced Araifjan (GB) which ultimately made contact with Asadjumeirah (GB), causing its rider to take a check.
