Dundalk Fri, 15th Nov, 2024  Genoah He's not champion jockey for nothing!. Delighted for the lads that own him, good friends of mine. He handles the surface well. Stepped him up to a mile and one in Punchestown and he came home well, and the step up to a mile and a-quarter here really suited him. He's at the backend of his three-year-old year, but he is still relatively lightly raced - it is only his fifth run. We'll see what the handicapper does and he could possibly go handicapping here, he's in good form and he likes it up here. We'll see what is there for him. Colin thinks as he grows up he will have no problem staying a mile and a-half. He's still a little bit green when he got there, he just had a little look. Colin was delighted with him.

Dundalk Wed, 13th Nov, 2024  Lord Talbot He did everything wrong and still did it!. With the first-time visor, he was a bit free. He didn't give Robert the best of rides, he said he hung with him down the back. He was able to get a breather into him and he found. In fairness, he galloped well to the line. Very babyish still, I'd say. A lovely, scopey horse. First time up here as well, so he obviously handles this well.

Cork Tue, 1st Oct, 2024  Staysound Susie She didn't stay seven (furlongs) in Galway so we gave her a break and is only back five weeks. We'll see what's left for her now and I'd like to find a Listed race for her. She likes soft ground and Andrew thinks she is improving, so I'd run her. She is owned by a great bunch of four lads from Fethard who also bred her: Donal Tobin, Liam Sweeney, Willie Leahy who isn't here, and Richie Nevin whose father trained Belsir to win the (1987) Galway Hurdle.

Killarney Fri, 23rd Aug, 2024  Nibras Rainbow I didn't know what to do with him but felt I should stick to what he did in England and while you could easily say he was ungenuine with his head coming up, I had his wind done. I think he is only getting his confidence now. It took a run to get him back (after surgery) and he is coping with that softer ground now. We'll keep going and will go to Listowel.
