Good Morning Alex (GB) kicked the rail in the parade ring.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held into the start of this race and the participation of City Of York (GB), drawn 5, ridden by Jamie Spencer, who had become fractious in the stalls.
After reviewing the footage, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was clearly not seated on his mount as the start was effected, resulting in City Of York (GB) leaving the stalls riderless and therefore ordered the gelding to be declared a Non-Runner.
