Leopardstown Thu, 12th Jun, 2025  Masoun Nine or ten furlongs is probably a good trip for him and Wayne gave him a lovely positive ride. If he gets into Ascot next week in a handicap, he’ll go, as the owners are over, and hopefully we’ll find something for him in the Curragh over Derby weekend.

Curragh Wed, 4th Jun, 2025  It's A Heartbeat We always liked her, her pedigree is lovely. Thankfully, Sven and Carina (Hanson) sent us in Saltwell at the end of last year, so we’ve trained her sister and we knew that she’d chill out lovely over a mile-and-a-half. That’s the way we wanted to ride her and it just sort of fell in Ronan’s lap. We like the first run to happen and then go away and learn from it. She’s learned from her experience and enjoyed that big shower today. It was yielding at Naas - I don’t think she needs it really easy, but that just definitely helped today. She came into it lovely, travelled sweetly, and won nicely. She’s all about next year. We’ll take our time now and won’t do anything silly. We’ll get her home and see how she is. We’ll pick something in 2026 and work back from that.

Naas Sat, 10th May, 2025  Calrissiana She ran on soft ground here the last day and couldn’t handle it at all,. She had a couple of good runs last year and wasn’t mad about the all-weather. She’s leery and she does nothing without blinkers and she was only doing enough there all the time. Eddie bought her at the breeze-ups, off Yeomanstown, as a broodmare and she’s won a race now. I’d imagine what we’ll do now is try and pick up some black-type now, she could sneak a bit. She loves fast ground and she actually keeps trying for you.

Curragh Mon, 5th May, 2025  Murkala I didn’t think it would take as long for her to win,. She’s a very nice filly. She travelled well today and Rory had her in a nice position. There was plenty of pace on and she relaxed. The last day Ben (Coen) rode her and we put cheekpieces on around Gowran and she was way too keen. I’d say fast ground, seven furlongs, is ideal. It was nice and smooth today for her. There is a fillies handicap here on Guineas weekend. It’s a mile though but I think she should have no problem getting a mile. I thought she wasn’t a bad filly at the start of the year. You could put a line through the last run, the way she behaved, she just didn’t settle at all. She settled well today and Rory gave her a great ride.
