An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Garden Oasis (GB), placed fifth, ridden by David Allan and Paladin (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Joe Fanning.
Allan was cautioned for careless riding as he moved his mount right-handed when insufficiently clear of Paladin (IRE) causing Fanning to take a slight check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the approach to the line involving the winner, Cosmos Raj (GB), ridden by Cian Horgan and Revich (IRE), placed third, ridden by Joe Leavy.
Horgan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding he allowed his mount to drift right-handed when not fully clear of Revich (IRE) resulting in Leavy having to take a check for several strides.
The performance of Paladin (IRE), which finished sixth of six runners, beaten by 14¼ lengths, was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Charlie Johnston could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer examined Paladin (IRE) post-race and had nothing to report.
