Dundalk Fri, 27th Feb, 2026  Oxford Circus That's three wins now, it is actually unbelievable! These things seem to happen to me when I get going, things seem to fly early, so hopefully the momentum stays. I'm very lucky, Denis is very good to me and is putting me on the right ones as well, so the credit really goes to him and his work at home with all the lads. I think the penny really dropped today, Oxford Circus was probably still a little novicey the first couple of times, but still ran creditably. Back over the six (furlongs), I think just having that experience under his belt and it was a weak enough race today. He finishes really strong - he gallops into it beautifully and he hits a little bit of a flat spot, but he stays very well.

Dundalk Fri, 6th Feb, 2026  Una Matata she's tough and was a cheap filly, so I’m delighted for her, Adam (Caffrey) and the lads (Mark Devlin, Mark McGuckin & Claire Wylie). She has won three here for us this winter, has been placed a few times and it is a great to get fillies like that - it keeps things ticking over. Adam said she might have a little bit in hand still. I've no real plans for her, she will keep plugging away and could come back here for finals' day or we could go across the water with her. We'll give her a little bit of an easy week because she has had two races on the trot.

Dundalk Fri, 6th Feb, 2026  Prairie Girl I had one winner and four seconds when I was away on holiday so I was getting a few phone calls saying 'when are you back?! However, they were so unlucky as they were all beaten by heads and short-heads so it wasn't anyone's fault. This is a game filly, she is going the right way, is tough and she will keep going. I'll be honest, I have to give full credit to Seamie Heffernan because I said she just likes a little lead and he didn't panic. His experience won it. There's a 0-90 next month, so we will go there and we will have a chat about going to either Lingfield or Newcastle on Good Friday. I'd love to go to the turf in the middle of the summer - you wouldn't know with this one.

That was a long time ago and I never give him any rides as he normally booked, but I love to use Seamie when I can. We were debating whether to claim off him but young Adam Grant, who has won on him, is suspended so we just said we would go with experience. He missed the break a little last time and the young lad did well to get him up there. Tonight, he didn't miss the break, so that was to save ground. He came home nicely.

They went a good gallop and Sam's seven (claim) helped. We needed the seven the way she jumped out. She wasn't a dear filly and if someone claims her here tonight, we are still walking out of here with plenty of money off her. Hopefully we can retain her if we can, but I won't be crying if someone does claim her. She should win again.

Dundalk Tue, 13th Jan, 2026  Moyassr Moyassr got a good ride from a low draw. It was a game performance back over that trip as he doesn't do a lot in front. It was good that he held on. He got a little injury on his heel over Christmas, so he is coming back from that.

Dundalk Fri, 5th Dec, 2025  Una Matata She was a cheap filly at Goffs Horses-In-Training Sale. I bought her and the lads said they would take her - Mark (Devlin, part owner) has been very lucky for me, and Claire (Wylie) as well, they have had good fun involved with Nikki Swango and a few others. They enjoy these nights up here and that is what it is all about. She's in again on Wednesday, but I can't see the handicapper giving her 7lb. If she doesn't get 7lb, she won't run. I'll probably just wait because she will be guaranteed a run again in another race. She could be out of that bracket, but she should be okay. The draw killed her the last day, I think she was just a bit unlucky the last day. She was drawn 17, got caught wide. She has ability and I think she will be a good fun filly for the year. I think we will have five or six here next week and we will just tip away until Christmas. We have a few let off and the staff have done a great job all winter. Last couple of months have been rough with weather and our place is fairly exposed. We have to have a little bit of a breather at some stage. I'm looking forward to Christmas because we won't be that busy over Christmas, thanks be to God.

Dundalk Fri, 7th Nov, 2025  Lunigiana She was unfortunate not to win a few times so, when you get the job done, I'm just delighted for Renzo Forni who bred her. She's booked in to City Of Troy. We'll see whether we come back for something else, and we'll get her home and see what Renzo wants to do. She has oodles of speed and oodles of class, but Billy said yet again she hit the front and she just thinks she has done her job. You just have to be brave and sit as long as you can, and sure she was galloping all over them. Job done. It's a crucial win as she is actually a Listed-placed filly as well as a two-year-old. She has done nothing wrong and, in actual fact, the last time she ran up here she got a little stress fracture on her hind fetlock, so she had to get a few screws. That's the only time she was out of the first four. Very consistent filly, she's only small and I'd say she got bogged down a few times on the ground and still nearly won. She hopped off that surface and Billy said she loved that.
