Formscan By Tom Weekes - IPANEMA QUEEN makes her seasonal reappearance and hasn’t raced for 154 days but showed smart ability as a juvenile. A dual Listed-winner including once at today’s course last October, the selection runs for her newly licensed trainer today and should have no difficulty reverting back to this distance, over which she scored on career debut last May. Baby Sasma scored nicely on her own debut last April and while she has clearly had a setback being absent since then, her half-sister was Listed-placed and she should progress. Midnight Dusk won a course maiden in December but steps up in grade.
For three years old only
Weights - 9st 5lbs. Fillies allowed 5lbs.
Penalties - Penalties (handicap excluded) - Winner of two or more races 3lb extra Of a Listed or Group 3 race 5lb extra Of a Group 2 or Group 1 race 7lb extra

Quotes on Flanker Jet (GB)
He finished the race well. He has been working very well at home. Last time, he was a little bit quiet and today he has come in form. I'd say a mile will be no problem for him. He has a big stride and is a very sound horse. As the year goes on, I think he is going to improve again. Something like that (a nice handicap on the turf over seven furlongs or a mile).

Quotes on Midnight Dusk (GB)
It is great to get two in a week and two two-year-olds as well. It is very important for Donnchadh (Doyle) as well. Delighted the horses are starting to hit form. We will probably be 90 per cent Flat and 10 per cent jumps. He had good form in his first run, and that race has worked out well.

Quotes on Baby Basma (IRE)
I'm delighted and Colin said she was just a bit frightened when she came out of the stalls but then she settled grand. We thought Mr Bolger's (Slaney View) would go on and lead and our filly slotted in behind. She had been working brilliantly with nice horses at home and for what she was doing at home as a two-year-old, I was fairly confident. The obvious next place is at Naas on May 18 (Coolmore Juvenile Fillies Sprint) or the Marygate Fillies' Stakes at York, so I'll chat with the boss and see what he says.
