Cork Fri, 24th Jul, 2026  Grayrobin he got sick so couldn't sell as a breezer but I always rated him highly. He has the Havana Grey-attitude, sticks at it and is tough. He still has more developing to do, he will widen and mentally he is excellent. I don’t have any two-year-olds to work him with so I had no level of form to go by, and two horses he beat at Bellewstown were beaten since. I had him in the Molecomb Stakes (Group 3, Goodwood) next week up until ten minutes to closing time but panicked and decided to come here, hoping to win. I had priced him to sell but only got one call after he won in Bellewstown so he is still for sale, although I won’t give him away cheaply now and it will take a bit to buy him. He’ll get good entries now and isn’t the type of horse whose form will fall off a cliff. There is so much more to come.

Naas Wed, 22nd Jul, 2026  Big Negotiator It was her sixth run so she is good and hardy. She was unlucky here the last day against the colts. She was pushed across the track. She went off 15/8 the other day and she was 20/1, I couldn't believe it, today. I thought it was nuts. She is a good, tough filly and I'm very happy for her. The other lady (Concorde Landed) looked a bit fresh. Billy said she was a bit fresh going to the start and I just thought she took a bad step there maybe a furlong down if you watch it back. She'll come on from it. Hard to beat the six runs.

Bellewstown Thu, 2nd Jul, 2026  Grayrobin My colours again, a great day today. We missed the breeze up with this horse. He was never meant to be in training. We had a virus in the yard, he literally couldn't travel because he had a temperature of 40 and it was a no-go. I was devastated. I sent him to Archie and he ran poor (8th, Nottingham), but it was a first run. Then when I had a few left over from the breeze ups, I said I might as well have him in my team since he didn't win first time out. He duly did it there. I was worried with the weight, I really was as a stone more than a few of them. That is two penalties in England. Anyway, he did it and big thanks to Chris and the lads in the yard. I do think a lot of him, I think he would have made a few quid at the breeze up had he of been there but we missed it. Then I thought, maybe if we win, we could go to the Ascot Sale. He was going to Ascot all year and then he missed everything. You just have to take it on the chin. He's a nice horse to have in the yard and no doubt I'll have him well entered up in a few big races. He's for sale.

Naas Wed, 24th Jun, 2026  Oro Blanco he was looking at everything but was always doing enough and is progressive. He’s run over a mile, and seven furlongs, but he’s probably not a six-furlong horse so could step up in trip again. He’s a big horse for a Havana Grey and hopefully can improve again.

We bided our time with him, gave him plenty of time, and fair play to the lads. He was just a big, weak, horse last year. He’s progressed from each run. He’s a nice progressive horse. We’ll see where we go from here.

Dundalk Tue, 26th May, 2026  Cuban Grey He enjoyed bossing them - all ours were a wee bit flat this past while. The one (Battle Borne) in the first race was second and ran a nice race, so they are coming back. What he does is break well from the stalls. He had a bad draw, so Luke decided to try and get him out and get him into a good position. He probably didn't realise he was as far in front, but he needed it in the end. He ran well to the line, so it gives him a nice summer scheme. We will follow the same route as last year and maybe go to the Curragh with him, that's the plan. That's a big boost for him, even a confidence booster for him and for us all!. He's a smashing horse and he gives it his all. Luke did the fractions well. He texted me earlier in the week for the ride and is a smashing lad. Conor (McKenna, son) never misses it. He'll be jumping around the bed in Australia, it's late there!
