THE JOIN THE MIDNITE MOVEMENT HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) Permission was given for Gustav Graves (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
The Starter reported that SAM’S XPRESS (IRE) was unruly in the stalls.
Julia and Shelley Birkett were informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2½ furlongs out involving Cressida Wildes (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Connor Planas, Gogo Yubari (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Harry Vigors and Gustav Graves (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joanna Mason.
Being a 7lb claimer, Vigors was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Vigors was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Gustav Graves (GB), causing Mason to severely check her mount when badly tightened for racing room against the rail, before then shifting right-handed and hampering Cressida Wildes (GB).
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Gustav Graves (GB), unplaced, suffered interference approximately 2 ½ furlongs out.
