Brian Hughes, the rider of Geromino (FR), placed second, was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from after the second last fence.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the third last involving Geromino (FR), placed second, ridden by Brian Hughes and the winner, TOMMY’S OSCAR (IRE), ridden by Danny McMenamin.
Hughes was cautioned for careless riding as he had moved back towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing McMenamin to take a precautionary check.
Following the race, Brian Hughes reported that Geromino (FR) hung left and jumped left.
