FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - John Murphy and Joey Sheridan have big claims in the preceding race with Sharp Focus, and they could strike here too with CELTIC CROWN. Whilst her stable companion Sharp Focus won at Killarney, Celtic Crown had to make do with a silver medal at the County Kerry course when runner-up behind Haparanda. That Aga Khan and Dermot Weld victor benefited from the addition of cheek-pieces, but Celtic Crown managed to have Joseph O’Brien and Llyod Williams horses, as well as Mrs Harrington and Ballydoyle contenders behind her. Owner Robert Moran lives in the USA but he has Irish parentage and his nursery, Moran Stables, is in West Cork. He formerly owned Patrick Sarsfield and of course that fellow is going from strength to strength recently. Celtic Crown is well below his level but she should be winning herself sooner rather than later. Bestrella and Calidus Mirabilis head the list of dangers.
