FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MAGIC DAZE was runner-up to stablemate Telmesomethinggirl in the Dawn Run Hurdle at Cheltenham and might win today. Largely unexposed prior to Cheltenham, she ran a cracker and while no match for the winner, beat subsequent Grade 1 winner Skyace into fourth with Gauloise disappointing in 11th. Gauloise underperformed at Cheltenham and while she returned to form when second to Skyace at Fairyhouse, might struggle to turn form with the selection and was also beaten in a Grade 3 February hurdle. Bigbadandbeautiful won two Listed Bumpers and won stylishly on belated hurdles debut aged seven last month. Open to improvement, she will be suited to today's sound surface but isn't as streetwise as the opposition. Hook Up is capable but is held on previous meetings by both MAGIC DAZE and Gauloise while Global Equity is held by both Hook Up and Gauloise. The West Awaits won an ordinary maiden hurdle easily at Cork and might find a few too strong.
