Having said that COTE TETE, who is a half-brother to Sir Des Champs, is the one I'll side with. The Noel Meade trained gelding showed very little on his first three starts, putting in a much improved performance on his last outing at Fairyhouse, falling at the last when still in with every chance. That race wasn't the strongest ever run, but the second, Hugo 'n Taz, since got off the mark at Ballinrobe. Plouios also failed to complete on his last start, unseating at the final flight when sent off an odds-on chance at Wexford. He won a point-to-point on quick ground in April of 2017, and a return to decent ground now may bring out the best in him. Montauk Flyer was fifth in handicap company on his last start, and he looks to have solid each-way claims, while others for the shortlist are Cairnhill, Doctor P's Getaway, and Commandant.
