FormscanBy Tom Weekes - EAGLE SONG is an obvious pick, being a winner here recently, but he does strike as a colt progressing very well. A E240,000 yearling purchase, he is a very well bred type being out of a Queen Mary Stakes runner-up and while his initial form was nothing exciting, he got things together very well when winning here on October 5. He ghosted into contention then and won very easily and while raised 10lbs for that win, could still prove ahead of the handicapper, with his rider again claiming a useful 7lbs. Gold Jasmine was second in a maiden here in August when trained by Ger Lyons and has run well on her two nursery starts for current connections. She may not be ahead of the hanicapper but nonetheless has her chance today. Aidan O'Brien's Mona Lisa's Smile has shown just limited ability in three maidens and two Listed races but cannot be dismissed on handicap debut from a lowish rating. Vhagar has shown useful bits of form and ran well enough at this venue in September while Sunset Nova steps up in trip from his maiden starts but needs to improve to win. Chernish would probably have been placed at Cork latest were it not for meeting interference and has her chance on Dundalk debut today.
