FormscanBy Gary Carson - STEPS TO FREEDOM hasn't won a race since February 2013 but can get his head back in front here and open his account over fences. He has proven really consistent at a good level on the Flat and over jumps over the past couple of years but it must be a bit frustrating for connections that he's been placed ten times. He ran a nice race when staying on into third over fences at Galway last time and a repeat of that would be good enough to land this. Pink Coat was well held when third on his last two outings in Killarney but stepping back up in trip a bit now he looks the danger. He had just been denied over a similar trip to this at Limerick on his chase debut and that run entitles him to go close. Zigger Zagger ran well on his chase debut at Down Royal back in March but looks to be facing a couple of better sorts now. Georges Conn was left a moderate third in his chase debut at Ballinrobe and handicaps are probably his future.
