FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - SOMETIME SOON landed a gamble in a Kirkistown point-to-point in November. He is a brother to multiple winners, including Touch Back, victorious in five races. David Christie had Sometime Soon then, and after an impressive success he said: "He's unbelievable. He might be only 16 hands but he is as good a horse as I have ever had. Barry (O'Neill) said he was sprinting down to the last and he had to steady him up into it but he could have won by any distance. He was always showing us plenty at home, working with the open horses. He could be sold now." Sometime Soon went for 225,000 pounds to Margaret O'Toole and Gordon Elliott at the Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham December Sale. Derek O'Connor said meanwhile, after winning on Stay Humble: "I won the four-year-old maiden at Ballynoe on Stay Humble for owner/breeder Walter Connors. With 13 runners, this was the biggest field there has been for a maiden in this age-group this season, and the son of Beat Hollow quickened well from two out off a good pace set by the eventual runner-up Locker Room Talk. Stay Humble's dam Rosy De Cyborg was a high-class mare over hurdles in France. The time of the race was very quick - nine seconds faster than the average on the day - and I rate the winner a smart prospect." Pat Doyle, handler of Stay Humble, stated after the success: "This is the smartest four-year-old that I've ever had and he will now be sold." Stay Humble appears to have changed hands privately. The other one most likely to take a hand here is Thosedaysaregone.
