FormscanBy Tom Weekes - CHAMPAGNE JAMES might be able to put his previous chase experience to good use on his seasonal reappearance here. He pulled up in the Irish National on his latest start but prior to that had shown a good level of ability and a reproduction of some of those efforts might see him prove too strong for chasing newcomer Alvisio Ville. Alvisio Ville had a big reputation for much of last season and while his inexperience may have caught him out in Grade 1 company, he nonetheless did shape like a potentially very nice type. He does make his chase debut here and while he is sure to be well schooled, is still only five and stepping up in trip here. Bonny Kate is herself useful and should be good enough to place on recent form. Marinero was useful over hurdles but needs to do much more than on his disappointing chase debut at Down Royal. Undressed is himself useful and can place following his most recent chase runner-up effort.
